Okay, I’m officially wrapping up my posts on last weekend’s bridal shower that my mom and I threw for my cousin Courtney. After the mimosas were drank, the gifts were unwrapped and the shower was over, Courtney ended the day with some serious loot (and some great memories, of course). Which got me thinking: What makes a good shower gift?
There’s the no-fail option of something from the registry, which after talking to a few brides-to-be is always appreciated. But if you’re looking for a creative bridal shower gift, here are a few ideas.
As the maid of honor, I got Courtney a wedding day dress hanger with her new Mrs. name on it. I’m happy to say she loved it. I found it on Etsy (and would definitely recommend this Etsy shop if you’re looking for one).

One of the girls got Courtney an apron and set of aqua oven mitts from Anthropologie. They have adorable, retro-inspired options in just about every color imaginable. It was such a cute surprise. I’m definitely stealing this idea for the next bridal shower I go to.
I love the idea of a basket full of celebration wines. Occasions Online has a great tutorial on how to get everything prepped and polished to make the perfect basket. You can do classic celebrations (like the first anniversary, first New Year’s Eve, etc) or more playful options (like the first dinner party, after the first argument, or the first night home from the honeymoon).

Wedding countdowns are a cute, easy, and meaningful DIY for a close girlfriend. I’ve seen adorable chalkboard versions and picture frames. Another (even easier) option? These blocks from Etsy. Chances are your friend would never buy them for herself, but will probably love to have them as she gets ready for the big day.

Another great option for creative bridal shower gifts is anything personalized or monogrammed: stationery, address stickers, barware, bathroom towels, you name it.

Love this article! And I second the idea of monogramming – but I’m unusually obsessed with monogramming
Great article! Very creative!
Great post! I’m inspired by the creative ideas you got from Etsy.
