Color Craze: Caribbean Blues & Turquoises

Feeling relaxed and super lucky, I’m fresh back from a last-minute girls trip with my mom to Aruba (more on that soon!) and inspired by the island’s obsession with stunning shades of turquoise and aqua (more on that later too!).

To the Beach

Borrowing the beach’s blue and green color palette, I’m bringing the seaside hues into the first place that comes to mind: beach wear, a la a Tory tunic, a classic bandeau bikini, a simple straw hat (with an extra large brim, of course), and strappy extras.

Back to Basics

Jazz up easy pieces with washed-out shades of aqua. My favorite from these pics? The skinny, faded jeans that could go with pretty much everything in my closet.

For the Evening

While we most often think of pastels as daytime colors, with dressed-up fabrics and grown-up silhouettes, they’re perfect for summer evening wear as well. I love how these accessories keep the look beachy and laid-back.

In the Home

Turquoise and aqua has been huge for interiors for the last year or two. Bringing in a few pops of this beachy palette instantly makes rooms ready for warmer months ahead. Want some more turquoise at home? Check out this Pinterest board form Fab Gab Blog.
