Last weekend, I threw a low-key bachelorette party for my cousin. Instead of a girls-gone-wild night out (not that there’s anything wrong with that), we went for a more milder approach with an overnight on the Cape. It can be a little tricky to come up with creative bachelorette party ideas to appeal to all ages and personalities, but I’d say our cooking lesson at a quaint B&B was a hit (more on that deliciousness later!).
I wanted the house to feel extra special for the evening, and a few little touches can go a long way. A velvet ribbon wrapped around towel sets on guest beds gives a quick hit of hotel charm. Fresh hydrangeas add Cape Cod color to any room. And pretty cranberry-red straws make any beverage feel like a celebration.
For food, we kept it simple with caprese kabobs (similar to these skewered snacks) made with red and yellow cherry tomatoes, classic cheese and crackers, fresh fruit, and chips and dip.
