This has been an exceptionally hot summer (not that I’m complaining!). My old job at Rue La La practically had no dress code at all–as long as it was stylish, I was good to go–but my current job at a travel company requires slightly more conservative clothes. I’ve been dying to wear shorts and I think these DVF silk shorts can actually pull off the less-than-100%-professional look. The key is making the rest of the outfit extra polished (think a buttoned-to-the-top blouse and ladylike accessories).
